What a pirate captain wants, he gets. And when Becky Dymond is thrown across time onto his ship, Captain Jasper Trevelyan takes.

The very modern Becky Dymond seeks adventure on the high seas. But when her training brig is beset by a storm, she’s flung overboard and loses consciousness.

Scarcely able to believe it, she realises she has been thrown back in time and onto a pirate ship with a strange and intimidating crew. But her situation improves greatly when she meets the charming and gorgeous Captain Jasper Trevelyan. If Becky wanted adventure, she’s getting more than she ever thought possible. Soon her desire for the pirate king is impossible to deny.

Jasper demands it all from Becky—her body, her loyalty and her cunning. His arch enemy, Redheart, has something that he wants back—the Scarlet Diamond—and Becky can help reclaim it for him.

Can Becky win Jasper’s trust and devotion, and still get back home? The trouble is, there are no pirate captains in her time.

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of mild bondage and one scene of dubious consent.

Demelza Hart - BTSe Mag feature

I knew early on in my life that there was only one man for me: Edward Fairfax Rochester. Enigmatic, brooding, intense, tall, dark and handsome. Sounds great, hey? Reads stupendously on paper. Looks great on our screens. I’ve fallen for any number of incarnations of Jane Eyre’s Mr Rochester over the years, from Timothy Dalton to Toby Stephens and most recently Michael Fassbender. It seems the character is so compelling that no actor can fail; he’s too perfect. It’s indisputable: from the safety of my imagination, I adore and worship Mr Rochester.
