Caught daydreaming during night school, Jesse faces being thrown out of class or proving his worth during a one-to-one lesson. Is his French up to the standard this Master desires?
More for the sake of a friend than himself, Jesse attends evening French classes at the local college. However, he spends more time enjoying erotic daydreams about the sexy teacher than he does learning the language. Too often, he’s caught not paying attention, and Corwin the French master gives Jesse an ultimatum. He’ll personally assess Jesse’s skills during a one-to-one session for Jesse to prove that he’s worthy of continuing. If Jesse fails to impress Corwin, he’ll be kicked out of class.
Jesse accepts the challenge, confident his French is up to Corwin’s standards. But is a lesson in French the only thing that Corwin wants to give him? Or is Jesse imagining there’s more to Corwin’s words?
If not, what else is this Master likely to demand of him?

Cleaning his teeth, Jesse stared at his refection in the bathroom mirror. As the electric brush buzzed away, he ran through what he’d already packed into his rucksack. He had the novel they were reading as their homework, the textbooks, his notebook and several pens. That was all he needed.
While he was diligent about doing the homework and actually attending the class, he was honest enough to admit the lessons themselves didn’t hold his attention. If he was really honest, the real reason for continuing with the French classes had nothing whatsoever to do with learning more of the language.
He rinsed his mouth then ran his fingers through his hair, making sure the gelled strands were peaked to perfection. After laughing at his reflection, Jesse headed back into his living room and picked up his cell phone to check for any messages. Sure enough, Ritchie had texted while he’d been getting ready. His lift would be waiting in less than ten minutes.
He flopped into a chair and recited some of the additional vocabulary he’d learned. Then he reran the last part of the novel in his mind. He had no intentions of putting his hand up in class to answer any questions, but occasionally the tutor picked on someone who wasn’t actively participating.
He’d avoided that. So far. But he didn’t want to be caught out either. His mind wandered away from verbs and nouns and onto the tutor himself. Corwin Marshall was half-French, spoke the language impeccably and was also drop-dead gorgeous. He was the real reason Jesse persisted with the classes. Well, that and he didn’t want to let his friend down by pulling out before the classes officially finished.
As a consequence of his crush, Jesse always had to drag his mind back to the lessons when in class. His thoughts usually headed in directions that involved him and Corwin either in various states of undress or energetic sexual positions—both of which were totally unsuited to a class situation. Even the few moments he’d allowed his mind to stray had resulted in an all-too-obvious bulge at the front of his pants.
He glared at his erection, willing it to subside. Oh, man. Every time I think about him, I lose control. I so have to be careful in class today.
Ignoring his body’s reaction, Jesse glanced at his watch. Ritchie prided himself on his punctuality, and since he was the keener of the two to take the lessons, he would be outside and on schedule. Time to go. Jesse pulled on a hoodie, hefted his backpack onto his shoulder and headed out.
“I must pay more attention in class today.” He recited his mantra as he headed to Ritchie’s car, his friend already waiting for him.
“You got everything needed for tonight’s class?” Ritchie asked as Jesse tossed his backpack onto the backseat and got in the car.
“Yes. Don’t sweat it, I got everything done. No one knows we’re friends, Ritchie. We don’t sit next to each other in class. You won’t get associated with the class bad boy.” Jesse laughed as Ritchie glared at him.

Writing has been a part of my life for many years, in fact, since childhood. However I’ve only been a published author for the last three to four years. For a few years prior to that, I subbed to a free site called Literotica. I’d won awards from Literotica for Best Halloween story, which was an m/m, and Best Gay Male Author before I was approached by a publisher. They asked if I would like to write for them, and my writing career was born.

My love for science fiction goes back as far as I can remember. I was riveted to programmes like Dr Who and the original Star Trek. I also loved the sci-fi films of the 1950s and 1960s. I made sure I could recite “Klaatu barada nikto” after I watched The Day the Earth Stood Still, I was entranced by The Thing, The Forbidden Planet, and This Island Earth, to name but a few.
