Rory made it out of the Queen's castle, across the border into the Wildlands, and into the Dead Woods, but the toughest challenges are still to come. He may have decided to trust Aries with his body, but he still isn't certain he can trust the faerie prince with his heart. The only way to survive the treacherous journey ahead is to rely on the one person who has already abandoned him once before. The longer they spend together, the more Rory realizes how little he truly knows about that fateful day in the past.
Aries and Rory may believe they are escaping only the wrath of a vengeful queen, but behind them, the sidhe court is overflowing with malcontent and malice. The Queen's mind is fracturing, the May-tree is dying, and every moment spins them closer to disaster. If Faerie falls, Aries and Rory will fall with her.
