Blood and sex were all he ever wanted until love gave him something worth living an eternity for.
Steve—who had been a womanizer in life and was even more so in death—prowls the Point using his vampiric wiles to get the blood and sex he craves. He’s always looking for his next meal and when he sees a tall, curvy beauty with a red scarf around her neck, he thinks he’s found it.
Eloise is different—she’s shy and needs encouragement, and Steve just can’t get her out of his mind. He has to take his time, get to know her and slowly seduce her. When she disappears, leaving only a note begging him not to pursue her further, he can’t help himself and ends up in the service of George Aquino, a vampire crime boss with a penchant for twisted and cruel torture and a dungeon full of prisoners.
A daring rescue, a difficult choice and love against the odds. Do you dare visit the point of evil?

“She’s fucking gorgeous, man.” I nudged Kyle, who was making goo-goo eyes at his new wife, Janine. I couldn’t believe that both of my best mates were totally tied down to women. What is with that? We’re vampires, for God’s sake—we have license to fuck who we want, when we want, and we should take advantage of it.
“Go and talk to her then.” Kyle shrugged. “Me and Janine are going out back. I’ll see you tomorrow at the bank, yeah?”
“All right mate, sure.” I was tracking the hot babe and didn’t pay much attention to him. She was tall and curved in all the right places. Whenever anyone asks me why I love women with big bums, I tell them it’s my African heritage. For all I know, maybe it is, but my African heritage is so old it’s an antique. I was born in England. So was my mum and her mum before her. I’m as British as British can be. That surprises folk sometimes, considering I’m also as black as black can be.
Anyway, I’m an equal opportunity shagger and the olive-skinned beauty who was so determined to sink into the shadows tempted me.
“Yo, Steve.”
I looked up. “Oh, hey.”
“You eaten?” The young black woman bopped around energetically.
“Not yet, Gracie, not yet.”
“Well, I’m available if you want me.” She grinned and batted her lashes. Gracie was just eighteen and a regular of mine. She was hot in the sack and her blood was pretty damn tasty. I was ready for something to eat, but I wanted to find out more about the dark-haired, shadowy beauty first.
“All right, I’ve just gotta go chat to someone. Ronald.” I beckoned the bartender over. “Get this lady whatever she wants, and put it on my card.”
“No problems, Steve.” He nodded.
“See you in a bit, Gracie.” I smiled at her and she waved me off.
I’ve always been a woman’s man, but it is so much easier as a vampire. We’re expected to sleep around. We have to or we’ll go off killing people left, right and center. It’s a fact. The Point is a place where we vamps can get enough blood to keep us going with just a ten-second bite. Thing is, the person has to be coming when we bite ‘em—the blood is more satisfying then. So these days, I shag my food before I eat it.
I wasn’t sure if the woman I’d seen was a human or a vamp. I was inclined to think she was human. Vampires tend not to be timid. Even Kyle, the soft tosser, had found a backbone with his vampirism. Maybe our mate Josh did us a favor when he bit us last year—we’re all much happier as vamps and it has given me access to a whole pool of desperate women to shag.
I know that sounds harsh, but every one of the humans in the place was gagging for it. Some might be a little reluctant, but trust me—they all wanted a vampire to show them a little attention. Some were there for the buzz and the money, but others didn’t even charge for their blood. It was a veritable hot buffet for a handsome young vampire like me.
I pushed my way through the bodies, both hot and cold, seeking out the young woman who’d caught my eye. The thumping club music throbbed in my head as I walked effortlessly through the crowd. That’s another vampire bonus—humans instinctively move out of your way, so I’ve not even bumped elbows for as long as I can remember.
