I just love books where the characters pretend that they are in love with each other, only to find out that they weren’t pretending at all.
What I enjoyed most about this story is that it utilized common romance themes of unrequited love, pretend romance, and friends to lovers tropes. So, for non-paranormal readers, it is something familiar. I also liked that the paranormal elements of the story were fairly basic – two werewolves who have the ability to shift, but most of the time they are in human form. I also liked that the author explained their actions, so that someone, like me, who isn’t a paranormal reader, knew why they were bearing their necks and intermingling their scents.
Overall, this book did not disappoint! I am anxious to see what comes next in this series. If you love a good friends to lovers storyline, you should check this one out!
