JJ Black has created the perfect book for those of us who love MM stories with a big dose of danger, adventure and passion. Ask the Oracle will tantalize your senses and leave you wanting more.Review by Jeep Diva
Anticipation builds throughout the story as the Dreo and Gary try to determine who the murderer is and who should be placed on the throne. The betrayals and revelations and some serious violence adds some spice, but the story is balanced out by some snarky and humorous dialogue and friendships and romance.
I was thoroughly engrossed in this fantastic story from beginning to end. There are lots of intriguing characters and tantalizing possibilities for future books and I am looking forward to reading the next one.

The story overall was one that I did completely enjoy. There were plenty of twists and turns throughout it all that kept me on the edge of my seat, waiting to find out what was going to happen next. There were a lot of characters introduced during the course of this book, and I would say that was the one main downfall of the story. It was difficult at times to keep track of who was who, and what they were in relation to the main characters. The author has a great start to a new series and I really can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!

I really enjoyed it. The world was awesome to experience. It’s not as in-depth as it could have been but I loved seeing all the demons, the shifters, and of course seeing Gray’s own Oracle abilities. At the same time, I really loved the characters. Gray is a feisty Oracle while Dreo is the hot alpha male. There was really good banter in this one that had me cracking up at times. But more than anything, I loved Gray and Dreo together. Yes, this is insta-love and while I wished there had been more development before that love came out, I still really liked their protective ‘mine!’ personalities.
All in all, this was still a great story... It had a great world and I loved experiencing the different types of demons and the issues going on in the Underworld. The author’s writing style is fast-paced and engaging so it was easy for me to stay interested in the story even when I was yelling at Gray to do something more than just stand there. The characters are great, too, even with the insta-love. I’m looking forward to reading more of this series and seeing what the next book has to offer.

I hope to read more of these characters and the secondary characters in the future. Right now, I can recommend this story to lovers of PNR, demons and their soft hearts, and someone looking for unique world-building.
