I'm a big fan of Raven McAllan's whether she is writing historical, paranormal or contemporary and I was certainly not disappointed in this latest contemporary BDSM themed story that is the beginning of a series as it leaves us on a HFN but with a mystery that has me longing for the next instalment. Jess is a wonderfully written character strong but with buried hurts, and the people who love her can see she is hurting and decide to do something about it. That something is David, who is unaware of the set up,but as soon as he meets Jess sparks begin to fly. The chemistry between these two is explosive but first David has to win her trust, although this happens in a short time the way it is written makes it entirely believable. There is some BDSM in the story not strong but they do got to a club, so if this isn't your scene then leave it, but if you enjoy a little kink and a whole lot of heat then you will certainly enjoy this story.

I am stunned. Simply stunned. I knew this book was going to be good but I had no idea it would be so good. This book was powerful and emotional in so many ways. It was a touching story with a ton of romance which is rare in a BDSM book. The characters spent time working out their issues and getting to know each other. It wasn't just wam bam thank you ma'am. The character development was amazing. I could see myself being friends with Jess and Kath without a doubt. Miss Raven made the story so real and packed so much detail that I could totally see myself at the club and sitting with the characters. Overall it was a fantastic sizzling story that I will read over and over again. Highly recommend!

I love Raven's books and especially her contemporary novels. I honestly thought that after Athol (from Master and A Dom's Decision) she couldn't possibly write another male Dom that would drag me into his story to the extent that David did. I can't wait for the next installment :D

Ms. McAllan does a great job of pulling me into the world of Diomhair. Little by little, McAllan reveals the mystery and as she does so she also reveals amazing characters and a blooming romance that is off the charts. I would recommend this novel to anyone who is looking for an interesting read with some sizzling BDSM sex.

The connection between Jess and David is palpable from the start. Their talk, their banter, the way they act and react around each other is very well written and easily drew me into their heads. Secrets Shared is a well written spicy read with love, attraction and a little mystery, that you won’t be able to put down.
