The storyline in this book is really interesting, the police work seems real, the danger levels seem much more than the first book. The new case takes a turn or two that I really wasn't expecting. I loved the scenes where Conor finally lets go and enjoys his submission. Makes it all the better when he can relax into it. There was a wonderful conversation about collars and different ways of expressing that kind of commitment between them. Alex also explained to Conor how submitting didn’t make him weak. I really think this is a strong second book to follow the first one. It progresses naturally and I enjoy that. I never felt like it was too slow or rushed. The undercover case that they are working on provides just the right amount of drama and suspense without it overpowering the mc’s relationship. It is the perfect balance of fun, smexy times and action/adventure.
LM Somerton has done it again with book two and it is one that I highly recommend.

Read this series for the suspense, hot policeman, and the incredibly erotic sex between Alex and Conor. These guys have no off switch, they just consume each other and give fully. The two are very much in love, and their sex scenes together are very passionate and steamy. I am enjoying the series and hope we see more of Alex and Conor. And Sergeant Higgs! I absolutely adore Higgs.
