First off, I want to say that i gave this book 5 stars. I absolutely loved it. This isnt the typical m/m romance and thats was makes this even better. The author did a fantastic job with making the men completely different to each other but with the same common love. The story line doesnt just focus on the men hooking up and goes into something deeper. The men develop love , respect and honor for each other. This is a really good book. I like the uniqueness of Guy’s character. He is strong, opinionated and at times I though he was a bit of an ass. This book touches on some very good life issues. We are dealing with two homophobic fathers, though at least neither has disowned the son. Guy has a decision we may all have to face someday. If you like real-estate agents, animal rights activists, strong men, family issues, barbeque, some pretty-hot mansex and a really great romance this is for you!

As much as I thought that Guy was a tool at first, it was probably my favourite aspect of this story. The way Guy could argue with his father over his intolerant view on homosexuality but he failed to see that he was just as fanatical when it came to other people’s beliefs about whether or not it is ok to eat meat. Not that the two things can really be compared. But fanatical is usually the wrong stance to take no matter what the topic is. I think the way that the author lets Guy discover that he needs to learn to tolerate other people’s choices is rather well done.
Business or Pleasure is the first book I’ve read by Ashley Ladd and I definitely want to read more of her work in the future.

I liked the premise of this book - which for me was whether attraction was strong enough to overcome a whole raft of issues thrown in the way of a potential relationship. And those issues came thick and fast. None of them were major in themselves, but cumulatively it was inevitable that they would be problematic. The storyline did a good job of making these characters real, and reminding the reader of the costs and rewards of certain relationships. There were moments of humour, of sadness, of fear, but also of great passion and peace. It was a worthwhile read.Review by Cathy Brockman

Both men’s dads are good background character’s especially Guy’s. This book touches on some very good life issues. We are dealing with two homophobic fathers, though at least neither has disowned the son. Tommy’s dad wants to run his life even if it is for a very good reason to make sure he is taken care of, and poor Guy’s dad. Guy has a decision we may all have to face someday (though hopefully not in such a dramatic situation).
