The premise of this book was intriguing. I loved the idea of them pushing limits and exploring new avenues in their lives. This story lived up to it’s promise quite well. There is a lot of intense playroom action in this book so those of you looking for something a little naughtier than usual will enjoy it, but there is also some amazing emotions that come through in the strangest of places and I found myself a little overwhelmed by them even on the second read through the story. I think this book can appeal to everyone. There’s very little actual angst, and it’s more of a character study than anything else. However, if you are squeamish about people being caused pain, even if they want it, this might bug you a bit. However I urge you to give it a try, especially if you’ve been exploring the idea of a BDSM lifestyle.Review by The Blogger Girls
These two are definitely committed to each other, and it shows in their total commitment to the roles they chose to play for the weekend. This one was a well-written piece and I really enjoyed reading it. From start to finish the story gets you hooked and it’s entertaining to follow the journey of Tyler and Derek find out what happens in their story. The good points: the graphic sex scenes were nicely written, and you can see that they love each other. The BDSM was pretty hardcore, and you believe the whole testing limits thing. Both the Dom and Sub in this relationship were taking care of each other and were invested in the relationship. An entertaining read.

This is definitely not a book for “beginners”. Some of the scenes are pretty intense, emotionally as much as physically, and you should know that before reading this book. The psychology is fascinating, and the underlying love clear, so I did not find this story to be in any way cruel. Derek and Tyler are clearly two consenting adults who trust each other enough to test each other’s limits. This couple truly wanted to test their limits, both the Dom/Master and the sub/slave. It was actually quite beautiful to see the emotions that they discovered about each other and themselves.
