How did you find it putting the book together?
When they first approached me about writing a novel I was like ‘really? Me?’. Then they said they’d have someone write it for me and I just could not bear the thought of that. Not knowing what’s in it and not making it personal to me. I did want to venture out into that world and see if I could give it a go.

FRESH from her appearance on Channel 4’s The Jump and ahead of the release of her new album, Stacey Solomon will be signing copies of her debut novel Walk On By in Essex. She will be at: WH Smith, Lakeside Shopping Centre from 5pm on Friday 13th March.
She shot to fame on The X Factor but Stacey Solomon is branching out and has just written her first book.
And perhaps eager to cash in on the interest following the success of 50 Shades Of Grey, Stacey's book, Walk On By, has been given a heat rating of 'shimmering' by Celebritease, the imprint of erotic romance publisher Totally Bound, which has signed Stacey up.
You've turned your hand to writing too..
It's a romantic novel called Walk on By about a girl who's thrust into the limelight. She doesn't know who she is, she hasn't quite found herself.
You sound a lot like Charlotte, the character in your book…
It’s not a mirror image of my life, but there are definitely things in there I’ve written about from experience. She’s a lot like me – sweet but not very cool.
Tell us about your new book, Walk on By…
It’s about a girl who’s thrust into the limelight and she doesn’t know how to handle it. She heads to the States and meets Blake – her dream man.

I know! I’m hoping he’s going to appear one day out of nowhere.
As if being an X Factor finalist and an I'm A Celebrity… winner, Stacey Solomon is now also a fiction writer.
The mum-of-two will soon be releasing her debut novel Walk On By. It tells the story of Charlotte Taylor, an ordinary girl who becomes an overnight sensation when she is thrust into the limelight, and into the path of self-made businessman Blake Hudson.
Stacey Solomon has been busy of late, from taking on the challenges in Channel 4 series The Jump, Stacey is taking the plunge as a first time author. She is bringing out a new book in time for Valentine’s Day.
