The story starts out with a pretty hot scene around 3 pages in and I was captivated ("fans self").
Elizabeth Coldwell proceeds to impress you even more with her knowledge on a subject that I knew nothing about, wine-making and the intricacies and history of champagne-making, that are informative and interesting, and showed the author knew her stuff. The story between Ethan and Jean-Luc was equally intriguing. I love the shifter aspect. It adds a sexiness to the story. Ethan and Jean-Luc are perfect opposites, and while their attraction might feel quick, it really works. There is an intensity about Jean-Luc that you feel quite strongly through the pages. You can't help getting caught up in Ethan and Jean-Luc's passion, that has some mild BDSM, and devouring every juicy scene!
Elizabeth Coldwell creates a cast of characters that flows smoothly and the story doesn't drag, it moves swiftly. This sexy 5 star read should not be missed.

I have to say I really liked the theme of the book. How funny to have a skeptical TV host of a paranormal hunting show come to investigate a were-lions ancient home. Oh and to have that same host be the mate of the were-lion. There was a lot of fun to be had with that little gem. All in all a good addition to the series.
