Review by Sinfully Addicted to All Male Romance

The discussion about spanking over breakfast was fascinating. I really enjoy BDSM based relationships, especially when there is affection and love involved. This story was different from the start because of Marty's attitude - his desire to accumulate data and analyze it, really intrigued me, giving an added level to the interaction between the two men.

There is a serious side to this story - the arsonist - a man who has a huge hard-on for Beau, which of course puts Marty in danger. The ending was fitting, at least in my opinion, for all concerned.

This was a totally enjoyable story. It was funny, quirky and has earned a firm place in my favorites file.

Absolutely perfect. This is one of my favorites series, and Scorched Edges is LM Somerton at her brilliant, kinky best.

I loved, loved, loved Marty instantly. I was thrilled watching his genius brain overanalyze everything, trying to come up with a logical answer to dominance and submission. Beau was wonderful with him, and it was a true delight watching them fall in love. Seeing Marty socializing with the other subs brought a smile to my face. I liked the way the author handled the darker side of the story, as it was a reasonable possibility, which always makes things more believable for me. A wonderful addition to the series.

Author L.M. Somerton knows exactly how to pen an erotic, gritty romance.  Book six in the Tales from the Edge series showcases the high octane thriller Scorched Edges.  The characters are intelligent, spirited, and needless to say smoking hot.  Between danger and drama Scorched Edges has it all.  This series consistently gives readers smoldering, sensual, and engaging stories to enjoy.  Scorched Edges is another must read.

I liked Marty a lot. I liked that he was a nerd with an insatiable appetite for knowledge. He often speaks out loud when he merely wants to think which causes some funny situations. There are short appearances from a lot of the previous characters as we get a sneak into where they are up to in their lives and it was great to see Aiden hasn’t changed a bit!

I have to say that the mystery/suspense part of the story was very well done. The Prologue totally sets the tone for the mystery/suspense part and it had me hooked. L.M. did such a good job with just giving tiny hints and when the person gets more and more out of contro. I was waiting on bated breath to see what would happen. Now, the BDSM and the sexy times, they were very well written and you felt the heat between the two main characters. I love me some BDSM and this was nice and not extreme or even very explicit, yet, it was hot enough and just sweet enough to hold my attention and melt my heart a bit.

I really liked the premise of the storyline and shivers certainly went down my spine when reading The Prologue, it felt so real that I was horrified but morbidly fascinated to see how the author would direct her storyline. And direct it, she did. At times I was in the edge of my seat and because of the situation with the Arsonist, things between Beau and Marty happen pretty fast. Now that worked well for me, I love a man who takes control and sets the pace and with Beau’s dominance, lovely, geeky Marty fell into his calling of submissive, with an ease, that was both sexy and a pleasure to read, LM Somerton was delivering all the way for me.

These two set the pages on fire when they got together. The dates were sweet yet demanding at times. Beau is a very kinky man and Marty is just coming into the lifestyle so I was glad that Beau was careful with him. They seemed well matched for each other as Marty had submissive tendencies that he was unsure about. All in all it was a great read.

Suspicious fires seem to keep popping up on Beau's shift. There has to be some connection. Can they find it in time before someone gets hurt? Scorched Edges is a quick read. I enjoyed the fire fighter/BDSM combo
