Aftermath is yet another wonderful instalment in the Southern Spirits series Bailey Bradford. If you haven’t started the series, you should! *I received an ARC through Love Bytes Reviews for a fair and honest review.

Laughter and emotionally gripping turmoil flows from the pages as Conner helps a young spirit adjust to his surroundings and gets Lee and Darren's attention with quite a few hijinks, while the chemistry between Lee and Darren gives them hope for a happily ever after. The well written scenes and fast paced plot flows smoothly with lots of suspense, humor and romance.

Ian and Dareen grow closer together and there is steam in this book also. You also get to see a lot of the characters from past books which I loved! Have to say I love Connor the ghost too in this series. All the pranks he plays are just too funny. All together I loved this book! I would definitely recommend!

'Aftermath' is the fifth book in the Southern Spirits series and can be read alone, but will be much more enjoyable if read after the other four books in the series. I'd recommend it for anyone who likes mysteries, hot sexual encounters, and happy endings.

This is a hot, extremely likeable story. It is definitely one I will re-read.

I enjoyed watching the relationship develop between Darren and Lee and how taken aback Lee was when he first saw Darren after the years that have passed. This definitely made for some steamy scenes between the two. As for the spirits, I absolutely adored Stefan and understood his antics better once we learned more about him. It also helped to explain why Darren felt so guilty about Stefan’s death and why Conner was protective of the young spirit. In fact, Conner’s antics in Aftermath were priceless and the sheet incident would make for heck of a scene in a movie. I quite enjoyed this installment and am looking forward to reading What Remains very soon.

I loved watching Darren gain confidence in himself as he leaned on Lee. This was a lovely addition to the series.
