This was a nice addition to the series and could probably read as a standalone although I think it would be best to read the first book before so you know who some of the characters who come around are.
I felt so bad for Orlin at first as he tried to handle his fall from someone who ordered people around to someone being ordered around. However, I loved the way Aester handled him.
This is a really great story even though it is short there is a lot crammed in there, but not too much so that it doesn’t work.
I really liked all the characters and the plot. A really great story.

I really enjoyed this book, and this series so far. I can feel the fear and hope that comes through with each of the submissives. The overwhelming need to care for them from the masters. Each book is a standalone story, in my opinion you get a better feel for the emotional tie that builds between the characters if you read the series.

There is an amazing amount of world and character building within this short novella, more than enough to satisfy. There were no grammatical errors in here that I noticed.
I loved the ending of this book and am looking forward to the next book in the series - Zall's Captain - which features a character from book 1.
Definitely recommended if you want a hint of BDSM, sweet yet sexy sci-fi romance.
