Review by Tammy Smith
Addison and Baxter are two GE’s "Genetically Engineered" soldiers who have been together since they were sent to their first unit. Addison and Baxter’s unit have been sent to a new post and they don’t have a good feeling about it. When they learn that the commanding officer doesn’t like GE’s and eventually sends them all into unsurvivable situations they realise they are not meant to make it out of there alive. When the time comes Addison makes it clear to his team that both himself and Baxter are going AWOL as they do not intend to be cannon fodder in a war for people that don’t give a damn if they live or die and they are more than welcome to join them. Hearts on the Line is about finding love in the least likely places, with the least likely person yet it happens!

If you like dystopian settings, if you want to know what effects genetic manipulations for military purposes might have on the people involved, and if you’re looking for a read full of action, emotion, and an unusual and powerful love story, then you will probably like this novel.
