Sarah: A fan of Ms. Tortuga’s m/m romances, I’ve only just started reading her m/f books and I really enjoyed this one. As usual, the sense of place in this story is fantastic. I enjoy the parallels between Bodie and Addie and the relationship between Addie’s dads. I enjoyed this story and I’m looking forward to Maddie’s book. Ms. Tortuga might actually be converting me to m/f romance!
Angela: Boy howdy, that was hot! This is only the second M/F romance of Tortuga’s that I’ve read and it proves yet again that she is just as adept at writing M/F pairings and as she is at M/M pairings. I’m just going to throw this right out there – Mr. Unlucky has a LOT of sex in it. Now that’s not a complaint because not only does the author write great sex scenes, but I loved how Addie approached sex. The story thread regarding her ex-fiancé did a nice job of infusing some unexpected suspense to the storyline, and gave Bodie the chance to prove his luck had finally changed. Overall, I absolutely loved Mr. Unlucky and cannot wait to find out who will be taking the reins in book two in the One Horse Town series!
