In my humble opinion, author Angel Martinez really hit one out of the park with her latest release, Lime Gelatin & Other Monsters.

This wonderful novella gives you just enough story to keep you coming back for more and I cannot wait till this author pens the next installment in what hopes to be a delightful series that will entertain and provide just the right amounts of mystery and romance wrapped in humor and fun. For me, Lime Gelatin & Other Monsters is sure to be the beginning of a great romance and a story I highly recommend to you!

Tosha: I have say that this book was beyond the unexplainable things. With that said I have to say that this book was so dang good. There was mystery, there was action, there was cops, there was inter office romance, there was freaky monsters, and there was extreme chemistry between the two main characters. You throw in the tension between other fellow officers and how quirky the main characters are and you have a winner on your hands with this read.

Amanda: A quirky and imaginative romance. I highly recommend it for someone looking for a light and funny paranormal romance.
Angel Martinez has managed to fit a lot into a relatively short book. She introduces a number of unique characters, solves a mystery, starts a steamy romance, and makes us laugh along the way. The story is immediately engaging and kept me hooked until the end.

I really liked the wacky and weird world that Ms. Martinez imagined for this story. It is set in a world just a little different from our own.

I enjoyed this fast read and liked the author’s humor and wit as displayed through the dialogue and interactions of the characters. The underlying case isn’t as important as the interplay of the members of the team…and don’t forget Mr. Jacket! I know you don’t know who that is yet…but trust me he adds just a little bit of humorous absurdity to the story!

I’ve already signed up for the re-release of book two, which is coming soon. I can’t wait. If you’re a Sci-Fi/SpecFic/wacky world sort of person, this story is for you. I recommend it.

I also really loved how QUILTBAG this book was, if that makes sense. I usually see a ton of M/M with characters that are uber-masculine and gay, but here we get a bi MC and mentioning of ACE, trans, and other variations along the spectrum. Nothing was preachy, but there was just a lot of cool shout-outs. Plus, a non-white MC! Bonus!

I really connected with this one and it got me excited for future stories. I hope this book finds its audience because there is a lot of potential there.

This is short and sweet and hit all my happy buttons...I adore all the quirkiness Martinez throws in – Mr. Jacket, someone who can only teleport fruit, a vampire who can only drink skim blood, and more. I enjoyed Vikash and Kyle’s rapport and how even in short story, it built from standoffish partners to something more substantial. Nicely done!

Such funny characters, instances and love the paranormal feel of the story. I was immediately drawn into the story with Kyle’s funny stories, and Vikash’s stoic attitude. This read like a black comedy movie, such parody and it packed a punch of the laugh for such a short story. Angel Martinez did a great job, and I’m looking forward to book two!

Lime Gelatin and Other Monster is an epic book in a new series that you HAVE TO READ. Period. Read it!

This is fan-freaking-tastic!

the author has the perfect balance. The sex scenes are hot and there’s some humor in there that makes it oh so much more. I can’t even tell you how fast I read this book or how much I loved it without blathering on like a rambunctious idiot. So…the moral of this review is READ THIS BOOK. Now that I am at the end of the book, the last page, I have one big question…when’s the next one coming out?
