This short story packs a lot in and made me wish it was one of a series, as Brady needs his story telling too! Set over a short period of time, but fitting with the shifter dynamics, we are treated to a plot with a twist, and a mating which is of great benefit to both. Inevitably there is little romancing, but these two men are clearly made for each other.
The kind of story which gets you thinking, and rewards you with a satisfying ending.

As far as paranormal romance novellas go, I would have to say Pride and Joey was fun to read. It left me wanting more but overall it was a quick yet steamy read. It brings you all the best aspects of a shifter romance- fangs, fur, and all! I think the dynamics and storyline was awesome and has given me more of a glimpse into Miss Rhodes writing style. I have always liked her and Pride and Joey was no different. She brings a different twist to her paranormal romances that leaves you wanting more. Looking forward to Pride Before the Fall as it follows Brady in his journey to love and his ultimate decision.

The story is told from both points of view. I really love that. You get the viewpoint of both Joey and Vance for each situation. The relationship is beautiful and loving, the story is short and entertaining, and the characters were wonderfully written. If you love a big cat story you will like the story. I do recommend it.
