I really enjoyed this book. I instantly loved both Rory and Luke. Their banter just made me laugh and I couldn't help but smile every time they were together. The love and tenderness between [them] is amazing. You can't help but root for them. I love all the secondary characters as well, they just feel like people you would know or want to know and have as family and friends... Great start to a new series and I hope the next installment comes out soon!

The Wounded Warrior by B.A. Tortuga catapulted to this reader’s top ten list. I have always been fond of Ms. Tortuga’s work, giving her books high praise, but The Wounded Warrior may be her best work to date... A must read and well-deserving of praise... showing our military finest in the best possible light, while staying true to their everyday struggles.

There are so many great and colorful secondary characters in this story. BA did a good job of pulling you in with her writing. The banter between all of the characters in this story is a joy to read. It has been a long time since I read a story that I found myself wanting to know everything about each character she introduces. Hoping there is a book 2 quickly so I see Matt get his well deserved HEA as well.

‘The Wounded Warrior’ is a fantastic story... a cast of hilariously wonderful secondary characters, and a roller coaster of a romance... this author managed to surprise and delight me at every twist and turn of this suspense-filled tale. If you like wounded men who have to fight themselves and others before they can be together, if you enjoy stories with lots of intrigue, suspense, and business machinations, and if you’re looking for a read that is entertaining and funny, touchingly emotional, and a wonderful ode to human determination, then you will probably like this novel as much as I do. From the setting to the people to the language – I loved it all!

I really enjoyed it... I also loved Rory AND Luke and Matt’s parents... I’m really looking forward to reading more of this series and hope to see more from Luke and Rory, but really want Matt to get him some happy...
