To me, Renewal was much more than just words on a page. Stone taps into the emotions of her reader and I cocooned myself in Shane and Chris’ world, reacting to events without shame and yes, this included uncontrollable sobbing.
The connection between Chris and Shane is intense, but made more genuine by Stone, in my opinion, because it is not just about sex. Instead, in Renewal, sex is an accumulated expression of everything they share. I think this makes the sex scenes Stone writes hotter because their passion is palpable.
Renewal offers everything I hope for when reading a gay contemporary romance novel and the Dublin Virtues series has gained Stone a new fan; I can’t wait to read more of her books. Renewal is a must read but don’t forget to keep some tissues nearby!

WOW!!!! I cried a lot!! I cheered a lot. I cried some more. I was warned, but warnings never quite hit you til you read a book, and this one hits you, fair and square in the heart!! Bravo, Ms Stone, for saving the best for last. I read this in one sitting, and this was the longest of the three.

I really enjoyed Renewal, and thought it fit in quite well with the series... It was great to see Troy, Xander, Lorcan and Eric again from the first two books, and I was very happy to see how things turned out once Shane was in the picture.

Oh yes this was a beautiful read. Full of feelings and they were just where they should be... A wonderful written story, a total package about family, grieve, priorities, friendship, forgiveness, opportunities, patience and love. The way how both men open up to each other, [in] mind and body, I felt engage and the whole story felt absolutely genuine. I enjoyed this story very much. The personalities were so nicely developed. The environments felt like home, both men were close to my heart... they felt so realistic. The whole story was covered with a warm blanket.

Do I even know where to start with this story? Let me put it this way. For two books I literally hated Shane. I hated what he had done and how it was done. I was upset that he allowed arrogance and greed to shape his life. And then I started this book and like the fog lifting, there was the explanation. THERE was all the reasons why. And when he told Chris: “You make me want things I’ve never been interested before…” one had to wonder could he be forgiven? Should he be?

The chemistry between [the characters] is out of this world and the sexy times were steamy and passionate... The story is well-written and reads easily. The author's writing flows well and the story drew me in and kept me turning the pages... A wonderfully enjoyable story that I'd recommend!!
