Lacey is a feisty, fearless Private Investigator—Will a poor little rich boy, turned Elite Special Operative, in the Canadian Military. Best friends since college — Lacey, shows no interest in exploring a relationship with Will. Yet Will. wants nothing more than to finally get Lacey to take notice of him and realize what they could have together, if she could just let go of the past. When a former boyfriend of Lacey’s is murdered, she leaps into PI mode, and heads to Manila, to find the truth of what really happened, and Will is on a mission to keep Lacey safe. But Will has some secrets of his own. When Will and Lacey, stumble upon a cover-up, danger follows, putting any kind of future together in jeopardy. I found the mystery intriguing, amid the burgeoning romance between Will and Lacey. I also admire the way Ms. Bain was able to sprinkle this story with the rest of the Brass Ringers. Looking forward to Rebecca’s story.
