I’ve enjoyed books about psychics for a long time and this series definitely delivered! It was interesting to learn the different powers people could have based on the different elements such as Air and Water. More about these talents came out over the course of the three books. Watching how Jake and Mari interacted with the police and government agencies was often entertaining and humorous. I especially liked how their relationship evolved over the course of the series. My main critique is I know no one from Detroit who would think in British English after living there for a month and since I went to high school and college down the road from the Motor City, I’m speaking from experience. Also, the series needs to come with a warning since BDSM plays a major role.
