The cover of this book captured my attention to read the blurb. After discovering the book was about vampires and a human assassin, impervious to their powers, I read it. Zoe Allison’s debut novel delivers action, drama, and romance. The chemistry she creates with the characters is honest and believable. A strong, jaded vampire, gets teamed with a beautiful, tough-minded assassin for a mission to hunt down a single malevolent vampire. The author weaves an intricate series of events, forcing the two to work through issues of trust, loyalty and love. It’s an exciting ride for the reader who never knows what will happen next. I rated each chapter individually to be fair and came out with an average. But, because I loved the characters so much, and the way the author told the story, I'm giving it a 10. Impervious is a good read.

I really enjoyed reading this book, the story drew me in and I couldn’t put it down. I liked the twists and unexpected turns the book took. The descriptive language the author used transported me into the story and I found myself wanting to know what happened next. I look forward to reading more books from this new author.

I really liked the cover of this book. As the story unfolds, the relevance of the cover becomes apparent. I'm not a fan of the vampire genre. But this novel is a real page turner. It had me hooked from the first few pages. The author builds a picture of the main protagonist's, that gives you a great feel of them. Lot's of excitement that builds to the physical action. It concluded with an ending that I was hoping for. With a taster of what the sequel holds. A great first novel.

A perfect read for a thunderous day. One can get lost in the world of Amber. A perfect adventure reminiscent of Steed and Peel but with vampires. I bought the book. So should you.

This book is gripping from start to finish, with a twist of vampires, humans, myths, with a dash of exciting romance this book has everything! All of the characters brought something to this book, I loved Amber's fiery attitude, Valentino who cared deeply and showed great emotion as a vampire. Hayden provided a deep dark character at first, developing into an emotionally driven character towards the end! With Hayden coming back on the scene as requested by Mr X for their next mission, there is more than one challenge that Amber needs to cope with. With so many questions, who can they trust and how are they infiltrated! The fight scenes are very gripping with the surroundings and physical contact described well to involve the reader. I enjoyed reading more about the myths of vampires and one that I thought was very plausible. With Amber and Hayden working closely with each other, their relationship takes a different turn, sexual tension between them is clear to see. A must read!

This is a superb adventure read on a par with any Bond book, but with vampires. Reminds me of the Diana Rigg Avengers TV series, but a more complete world that one can get lost in. I bought the book. So should you.
