I received a copy of Destined Prey by Bailey Bradford from Pride Publishing in exchange for an honest review. I’ve read many of this author’s books and this is one of their best. I liked the character of Jack and could relate to his decision to return home to Wyoming after NYC did not live up to his expectations. While I’m not a fan of insta-love, I realize it is a trope in shifter stories. Ben made being a coywolf a challenging existence, even though he was trying to remain lowkey. I did not warm up to either of their older brothers, even though I can see their story is likely next. Living next door to Wyoming, I thought the author did a credible job of capturing that environment. I am curious how the series will play out and will keep reading to find out!

This is awfully bloody for such a sweet story. Jack is looking for his place in life. He thought he found it in New York but now he’s back home to heal from a bad relationship. Being home feels good and once him and his brother figure a few things out they become friends again. Ben is just trying to survive, even though there’s a big threat to that survival. Finding true love was definitely not on his radar, but then Jack falls into his lap. The ista-love works in this fated mates romance. It’s quick and intense and very, very steamy. The two men’s big brother’s are very funny and I’m hoping the subject of the next book in this series. full review on: https://lovebytesreviews.com
