I’m a huge fan of Lisa Henry and Sarah Honey and their newest release didn’t disappoint! Awfully Ambrose is sweet, sexy, low-angst, and—obviously when we’re talking about these two writers—hilarious. The dialogue is quick and clever and the premise is a fantastic twist on the “fake dating” trope. It obviously doesn’t work out the way anyone intended! The characters are so easy to fall in love with. Ambrose is quick-witted, loveable, and amazing at his job. Liam is sweet and so easy to connect with. I immediately felt for him and his emotional plight was so believably written. The rest of Liam’s family was absolutely wonderful and the love they have for each other reminded me or some of my favorite fictional families (Grandad Billy is my new favorite!). The book is filled with twists and turns and things never happen quite the way you except them to. It's incredibly engaging and laugh-out-loud funny. I read the whole thing in one sitting! I can’t wait for Harry’s story!

I loved this! Hilarious, witty, engaging and absolutely wonderful characters. Ambrose and Liam were great as fake boyfriends until the lines blurred and fantasy became reality. They had an instant connection that just eased the way for their true intentions. Liam's family was incredible and I laughed out loud as much as I smiled. I can't wait for the rest of the series

Thoroughly enjoyed this! A funny, heart-warming romp through Sydney and the Hunter Valley which was both well-written and easy to read. Liam's family are just lovely (too lovely to be real, but I am firmly against ugly reality in my reading!) as are the two protagonists, each in their different way, and the story is paced well and held my interest. Do make sure you check the reader advisory - although the comment/events are minor they are *there*. I personally found the 'Australianisms' a bit over the top at times, but this is a tiny quibble and I have already pre-ordered the next book in the series! I must know what happens to Harry! :)
