This was a bit of a different read for me. I'm used to spice and kink, but what stood out more was a story also dealing with loss and grief. Fletcher and Lucy dealing with the loss of his husband and her father added something to the story that I don't usually come across in my standard reading. It took me a bit to really get into the story. The start was jarring but I think necessary to the story. Once I got going the story went by faster than I expected.
